What we believe
At first sight play is a seemingly spontaneous, aimless activity. But as a child it plays an essential role in your development. Play enables you to examine, to create and to practice without taking into account possible consequences. In play we can safely fail.
That is why we strongly believe in the power of play, in the use of game principles for almost everything we do. So much so, that we have embedded this in our game development methods and the way we run our company. We call it game thinking.
What we achieve
We have been around for quite some time. All this time we have been working hard to improve our games and the methods we have developed to create them. So you can say we know a thing or two. And we are very proud of what we do: We achieve positive behavioural change through play.
What we love
We breathe creativity. We can’t help it. We like to think differently. We love change, embrace innovation and we don’t shy away from thinking in disruptive solutions . “Think what no one else is thinking, and do what no one else is doing”. The world is dynamic and so should the people that inhabit it.
What we know
We know changing behaviour is a complex undertaking. It’s all about learning new behaviours or transitioning from one behaviour to another. And our behaviour is determined by more factors than we can imagine. In order to design a game that facilitates behavioural change we need to know:
- What specific behaviour we want to influence
- At what moments influencing this behaviour will be most effective
- Which game elements we can put into use to reach this change
- What factors are influencing the current behaviour the most
That’s why we created our own &ranj behavioural change model. Not just because it sounds fancy. We need it to create effective games.
What we want
We want to have an impact on the world. Simple as that. Therefore we need to know what works and what doesn’t. So we invest a lot in research and we equip our games with tools to analyse its use and effects. And because we want to impact as much people as possible. That’s the reason we are developing games that can be scaled to the masses.
